The concept for Game Changers Prosper has been decades in the making. Baseball was a part of Lance’s life from the time he was a youngster and was not only a pastime, but it was also his identity. Falling in love with America’s pastime was fostered by Head Baseball Coach at Jacksonville High School, Cecil Newton, who also happened to be Lance’s father. Throughout his high school baseball career, Lance’s fondest memories were spending hours in the batting cages with his dad. He went on to play baseball on college scholarship at Texas Wesleyan University from 1997-2001. Shortly after graduating, he stayed close to the game by giving lessons through Diamond Stars in Arlington, Texas and has continued giving lessons and coaching since then. Lance’s ultimate dream is sharing his passion for baseball with other coaches and athletes to help refine their game.
Lance’s wife, Ashley shares the same enthusiasm for sports and fitness, and main passion is ministry to children. Ashley’s vision is to foster an environment that will combine athletics, character building, and impart the love of God’s Kingdom in the next generation. Local residents of Prosper, they have a family of 4 children: Noah, Landry, Jackson, and Conrad, who keep them busy off the field.
